Project Complete: Vermont South Women’s Housing

22 January 2024

Successful completion of the Vermont South Women's Housing project.

Argall is thrilled to announce the completion of their Women’s Housing Ltd (WHL), Vermont South development. This marks one of the successful collaborations between Argall and WHL, following a second joint venture on the St Albans development. Working closely with architect Clarke Hopkins Clarke, the project, which commenced in 2021, focused on designing a multi-residential development that can maximize accomodation space and budget, while providing comfortable living for residents.

Spanning five stories, the Vermont South project consists of 34 apartments, each equipped with outdoor terraces. In addition to the apartments, the development includes various communal areas and a secure basement car park has been incorporated to ensure convenient and safe parking for all residents.

We take great pride in our work with WHL, a remarkable not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions to women at risk of homelessness or experiencing housing stress. We hope that the Vermont South development can successfully support WHL’s vision of safe, affordable, and secure housing for those in need.

We would like to congratulate the team at Clarke Hopkins Clarke Architecture, and all others involved on this build for creating a valuable and meaningful end product.

More information on this WHL build can be found here on our dedicated projects page.

ANDREW GALL, Director

Argall was founded in 2017 by Andrew Gall, an engineer with a passion for complex design and breaking the mould. His work experience as a senior structural engineer across a variety of project disciplines made him realise there was a real need for a bespoke people and service-oriented structural engineering consultancy that would inspire sustainability practices and innovation often lacking in big companies.

This is over and above his experience in traditional procurement roles, his work with builders in the design and construct field, managing projects in sport, tertiary education, the arts and zoological fields, as well as community, commercial, residential and multi- residential enterprises. With such a wealth of knowledge and understanding of different design methodologies, he has the expertise to challenge the status quo in his new venture.
