Argall is super proud to be part of the design team alongside Sibling Architecture which has brought to life the Darebin Intercultural Centre for the people of the City of Darebin.
The project involves a $2.0M+ refurbishment of the Preston Town Hall to break away from the internal colonialistic architecture to create a new, welcoming, and open environment for people of all kinds of backgrounds and cultures.
The project was a challenging one working with the unpredictability of elements of the original 1929 structure along with modifications that were made during the 1970s, with large portions of the existing structure being demolished and opened up as part of the proposed works. However, the process was extremely rewarding and we are super happy with the end result and the positive effect that it will have on the community.
