Exciting times as our monumental $20 million project, the Djerring Flemington Community Hub, has officially been opened. It brings immense pride to our team at Argall to witness the successful completion and opening of this project. This facility is poised to have a significant impact on the local community. It encompasses activity rooms, family facilities, creative spaces, exceptional accessibility, private consulting rooms, as well as sports change rooms and recreational facilities for local sporting clubs. The hub also provides ample spaces for individuals to sit, relax, and unwind. This new facility is designed to serve as a comprehensive meeting, learning, and recreation space, addressing the community’s diverse needs. Located just a short distance from Melbourne’s CBD, it offers a strategic and well-equipped environment to cater to various professional and community activities.
The completed project stands as a testament to our commitment to sustainability and innovation, with a 5-star Green Star certification. The Green Star recognition is a mark of ‘Australian Excellence,’ symbolizing the environmentally sustainable features of the building. Designed with resource-efficient construction methods, energy-saving systems, and conscious material choices.
Centered on carbon-efficient construction methods, the design’s cornerstone is the impressive 24m-span timber portal frame, a standout feature in itself. Adding to the visual appeal is the custom-framed ceiling in the community hall area, capturing attention with its unique design and contributing to an elevated overall aesthetic. Another noteworthy addition is the rooftop terrace garden, seamlessly blending elements of nature into the project. Beyond its aesthetic value, the garden offers users an ideal space to unwind, kick back, and relax.
